Project Activities in General
The overall structure of the project is made up by numerous activities in which all partners are jointly working together. These activities aim to provide the pilot projects with the necessary theoretical input according to the respective phase of the projects.
Moreover, they are set up to organize a structured interregional
exchange of experiences and know-how and to generate and disseminate
common transferable results and best practice approaches. The range of
activities includes accompanying conferences, thematic workshops and
seminars:
- In the conferences, the objectives, the activities
and the main results and conclusions of INCORD are presented and
discussed within a broader range of experts. The main results of the
project, which are discussed, encompass a synopsis in which the
existing institutional structures, procedures and instruments for
regional development in the partner countries are explained and a best
practice-compendium containing a description of the pilot projects as
well as common guidelines and recommendations for developing RDCs. In
addition to it, political recommendations on the importance of
integrated approaches are discussed. Inviting an interested political
and professional audience provides the conferences with an "outside"
input on the one hand and on the other hand raises awareness for the
importance of RDCs.
- In the workshops the partners discuss,
monitor and assess the progress and results of the pilot projects.
Moreover, the common transferable results and best practice-approaches
are prepared and efficient institutional structures, procedures and
instruments for sustainable integrated regional development and
EU-funding discussed. The results of the workshops contribute to the
project reports described above - the synopsis and the best
practice-compendium.
- For training and qualifying the participating partners in the field of EU-Structural and Regional Funding, a series of seminars are organized.
