The town is located on three small lakes: Bobrowo Duże, Bobrowo Małe and Młyńskie Lake. The centre of Kalisz is crossed by the road no. 10 Szczecin-Bydgoszcz. The biggest in Europe military training ground, so-called Drawsko Training Ground, covers nearly a half of the commune area. In the town it is worth while to visit the restored Classicist Virgin Mary the Queen of Poland's church from 1771, the Wedels' Castle from the 14th c. and the power plant in Bobrowowith working and fully operative equipment from the beginning of the 20th c.
