Drawsko Pomorskie
The Drawsko Pomorskie Commune is located in the west part of the county.
Town Drawsko Pomorskie plays an
important role of an administrative centre as here there are seats of county
offices and institutions. Places worth visiting include:
- The Resurrection church - Late
Gothic, from the beginning of the 15th c. Inside, the noteworthy main altar,
pulpit, organ and stained glass windows in the chancel and the church tower.
- The salt storehouse - built in
the 19th c. as a salt storehouse. At present taken advantage of by the local
parish.
- The St Paul the Apostle's church
- Neo-Roman, erected in 1928.
- Old city walls - built in the
middle of the 14th c. Fragments preserved until the present day.
- The war cemetery - 200
tombstones in the shape of the Grunwald order.
- The communal cemetery -
established in 1850. In the north part graves of prisoners of war (English,
French and American) from 1943-1944.
- The Jewish cemetery at Łąkowa street
reminds of the Jewish community of the land.
- Urban development - a number of
interesting architectural solutions in streets: Dworcowa, Piłsudskiego,
Sikorskiego, Obr. Westerplatte and Konstytucji square.
