The largest entity for the promotion of development in the
Malopolska Region.
The Malopolska Agency for Regional
Development S.A. (formerly the Krakow Regional Development Agency) was
established in 1993 upon the initiative of the Krakow Voivode and the Agency
for Industrial Development in Warsaw. The main shareholder of the Agency is the
Malopolska Voivodship and other shareholders are municipalities, regional
businesses, business associations and banks. The share capital amounts to PLN
76,530 million. The Malopolska Agency for Regional Development S.A. is an
organisation operating in the public interest to further development of the
Malopolska region. MARR S.A. has been also accorded the status of a Regional
Financing Institution which enables it to implement most of the activities
supporting the SMEs sector. The mission of the Agency is to effectively support
the economic and social development of the Malopolska region through
undertaking and implementing the activities, pursuant to the Strategy of
Development for the Malopolska Region for the period 2000-2006.
